Loan out on Stuudje

On Stuudje you can loan out the study-related items you wish to loan out. You can for instance loan out your study books or other study materials.
Loaning out products is at your own risk. Make sure to make clear agreements with the borrower about the loaned-out item, the price, and the return date. You can ask for a deposit to make sure the item will be returned in a good state on the agreed-upon date.

You can easily add a product. From your feed, click on ‘Start’. In the Marketplace, click on ‘Lend’.
Create a catchy title. Enter all the details regarding your product. You should report/show any defect of the product.
Upload clear pictures and make a detailed description.
Found someone who would like to borrow your product? Make an agreement about the period you want to loan out your product and for what price.
Complete these steps and you're done - start right away - upload an item now!

Please note that loaning out items is always at your own risk. Stuudje provides tips to help you, but in case you do not receive your product back or it gets back in another state you loaned it out, Stuudje does not refund damages. Of course, we will try to help you in any other way possible.

One of the steps in the upload process is to add a price to your product or service. You can decide what price you give, keep in mind you are only loaning out the product for a given time so choose a reasonable price.
Make sure to make clear agreements with the borrower about the loaned-out item, the price, and the return date. You can ask for a deposit to make sure the item will be returned in a good state on the agreed-upon date.

If you have found someone who would like to borrow your product, it is up to the two of you to agree on the shipment method. You can either choose to meet in person (we recommend arranging your meeting in a public, well-lit area. Let others know where you're heading) or to ship the product. You have to make sure to package and ship the item. Agree upon who pays for the shipping costs beforehand and the shipping method.

If you have found someone who would like to borrow your product, it is up to the two of you to agree on the payment method. You can either choose to meet in person (we recommend arranging your meeting in a public, well-lit area. Let others know where you're heading) or to ship the product.
We have the following tips for you:
· Offer to use a secure person-to-person payment site, such as PayPal.
· If you choose to pay electronically using wire transfer or money order solutions, avoid payment links and log in directly through the payment method's website.
· Transactions are between the lender and borrower only, and no third-party guarantee should be involved.

If you have not agreed to meet in person with the borrower, it is upon agreement between you two who covers the shipping costs. Generally, borrowers cover the shipping costs. Make sure to make clear agreements about this.

There are no fees for uploading your products or lending them out on Stuudje. This means once your loan is successfully closed, you’ll receive the full lending price.

If you see any signs of suspicious activity, immediately cancel the transaction, report the listing or person, and call the local authorities if necessary.

Note: You can also use a delivery option or a pick-up or drop-off service that works for you.
Profile
Review the seller's profile and its reviews.
Online payment methods
We recommend using a secure person-to-person payment site, such as PayPal.

Communicate on Stuudje
Avoid communicating with people privately outside of Stuudje. Having a record of your conversations will be helpful in case there is a problem with the purchase or payment later.
Protect your privacy
Don't share your financial information (e.g. Ideal or PayPal login and password, bank account info) or unnecessary personal information with people.
Don't respond to messages or emails that ask you to provide verification codes or account information, such as your email address and password. Stuudje will never ask you for your password.
Confirm fair pricing
We encourage lenders to compare prices before buying an item.
Don't agree to requests to make additional payments for postage or other previously unlisted charges from the seller after the transaction is complete.
Reject overpayments from potential borrowers for items, especially if they ask to be reimbursed for overpayment.

No, both lenders and borrowers are responsible for things loaned out and borrowed on Stuudje.
Please describe the items you would like to loan out clearly and make sure that you're following all of our Policies. Make sure to make clear agreements with the borrower about the loaned out item, the price, and the return date. You can ask for a deposit to make sure the item will be returned on the agreed-upon date.
Bear in mind that:
· Items loaned out and borrowed on Stuudje must follow our Policies.
· Selected rights owners may be able to search group posts to prevent the misuse of intellectual property on Stuudje.

We advise you to include clear pictures and a clear description before loaning out items. If you receive a loaned item back damaged, we’ll do our best to help you out but unfortunately, we won’t be able to refund any damages.

If you have loaned out an item and you don't receive your item back, we’ll do our best to help you out but unfortunately, we won't be able to refund you.

If you think that a borrower violates our Policies, or if the borrower hasn’t responded to your message, please contact us.
Bear in mind that we may suspend or ban borrowers if they go against our Policies. Borrowers who file fraudulent claims are also subject to consequences outlined in our Policies.

Safety
We focus on maintaining a high standard of personal and platform security for all members, as stated in our Trust and Safety policies.
For extra safety, we advise you not to:
· Disclose any private information like full names, addresses, telephone numbers, or bank details in your conversations with other members, on the forums, or in feedback messages.
· Reply to any spam or spoof mail containing phishing messages regarding your activity or account on Stuudje.
· Before making any deal, check the member’s profile to see the feedback left by other members — you’ll know what to expect.
Note: When making a transaction, beware of bank account numbers sent to you in a suspicious way (e.g. when a member insists on sending it as a screenshot, via SMS or email). If that happens, be sure to get in touch with us immediately. If someone sends phishing messages, insults, harasses, or intimidates you by repeatedly asking for private information, or a picture of yourself wearing an item you’re selling, be sure to report them. We don’t tolerate any kind of harassment or threat whatsoever.
Hate speech & Discrimination
Ensuring you’re protected while connecting to the community is one of our top commitments. Stuudje is a place where we welcome people of all backgrounds to interact while buying, selling, and exchanging their goods.
We have no room for any content or action of discrimination or hate speech directed towards other people, including but not limited to their race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, religious affiliation, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, and serious illness.
Any hate speech directed to a person or group of people will be stopped by team Stuudje. If a member violates our community standards, we may block their account either temporarily or permanently.
Please report when you spot members engaging in inappropriate activities such as posting insulting comments, harassing other members, or acting suspiciously. We’ll investigate and take action to resolve the issue.
We also aim to prevent potential offline harm and don’t allow support, encouragement, or praise of terrorism. Any content related to terrorist activities, organised violence, or hate groups will be removed by Stuudje. If you think an act of crime is being organised Stuudje, please make sure to report it to us.
Sexual exploitation & Nudity
We ask our members not to post anything vulgar, pornographic, or obscene. We have zero tolerance when it comes to communicating in a sexually explicit manner toward anyone on Stuudje. Pedopornography, pornography, sexually explicit content or language or any other type of content that displays or advocates for sexual acts will be removed by Stuudje. If someone attempts to abuse you, or displays nudity or sexual imagery in a private message or forum, make sure to report them.
Forum & private messages
Violent, hateful, racist, extremist, shocking, sexist, discriminating, pornographic, or sexual posts are strictly prohibited, as well as messages containing descriptions of illegal, immoral, or inhumane acts, messages that encourage illegal acts or drug use or contain links to pages with the type of content mentioned above.
Both private messages or any comments on the forum - should always show respect to everyone involved. Anything that is indecent, hateful, or illegal will be removed by Stuudje, as per our Terms and Conditions.
If a forum topic or a private message seems inappropriate, it’s spam, violates our rules and community standards, or seems to be a threat to the whole Stuudje community, please help us spot it by reporting it to the Stuudje team.
